Randy Stein

CEO

Randy has more than 20 years of senior management experience in social enterprises, business and nonprofits. During the first full fiscal year at the helm of LSH, Randy accomplished program growth of more than 220 percent, accompanied by a similar increase in foundation revenues.

Randy reports to the Board of Directors, while guiding the development of services and financial growth of the foundation. He is responsible for administering programs, operations and funding initiatives for the long-term sustainability of LSH.

He forges relationships with stakeholders, providers and communities of need in the LSH catchment area, as well as interested donors and supporters.

Program Administrator

Lynzee comes to the Foundation with broad experience in administration  at institutions including the University of Southern California and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. 

At LSH Lynzee administers all our programs, overseeing the application process and maintaining relationships with applicants, advocates, service providers, and LSH Board and Lions Club members. She also develops and maintains our database,  produces management reports, reviews, referrals and applications to LSH, and provides authorizations for LSH support.

Susanna Rodell

Susanna Rodell

Project Administrator

Susanna is a former journalist with decades of experience in newspapers and magazines, including a three-year stint on the editorial board of The New York Times, as well as senior editorial positions in book publishing. She has recently broadened her skills to include marketing for businesses and nonprofits.

At LSH Susanna’s main mission is to tell the story of the foundation’s work. She works on branding and strategy, managing creation of content for LSH, including the website, social media, media relations and communications.

David Walker

David Walker

Director of Development

David Walker joined LSH in 2019 as Director of Development. 

His experience spans more than 40 years in lead positions including CEO, Chief Development Officer and Chief Financial Officer with organizations including:

– BSA (Boy Scouts of America)

– Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach

– Olive Crest Treatment Centers for Abused Children. 

He has led efforts to advance organizations’ missions through both capital and operational funds.

Kerstin Brucki

LSH Advocate

Kerstin has a background in Communication and Hearing Science. She joins the team as an LSH advocate, and her primary focus is to promote the vision and hearing programs offered by the foundation. She connects with providers, medical clinics, social services agencies, Lions Clubs, and other referral sources to share the LSH mission. She is passionate about helping underserved communities and spends time researching where to find potential clients in our vast service area of 12 California counties.

Additionally, Kerstin maintains LSH’s donor management system, as well as receives and deposits donations given to the foundation.

Ken has served Southern California in community service including Mayor of Lomita, Lions International member, and now President of LSH (Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation) Board of Directors

Vice President

Scott brings his personal experience to his role as Vice President on LSH Board of Directors and is passionate about how LSH helps restore the Gifts of Sight and Hearing. Scott lost his sight 13+ years ago

Deborah Braun

Deborah Braun

Secretary

Deborah Braun, member of Lions Clubs, consultant to nonprofits and graduate of nonprofit/management schools, she brings an unique experience to LSH Board of Directors in her role as secretary

Gene Johnson

Gene Johnson

Treasurer

Gene is a lifelong Lion and has served on the LSH (Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation) Board of Directors since 2009. His interest in supporting Sight and Hearing Services started with a call from his mother

Nancy Hayakawa

Director

Nancy has had a 32-year career as a nurse at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Her community activities include serving as President and Secretary of the Griffith Park Lions Club and the Foothill Service Club for the Blind, and volunteering for California Hospital Medical Center Intensive Care.

Debra Blalock

Director

Debra is a social worker specializing in older adults. In addition to her work with LSH, she works with Build Futures, an organization that provides housing for homeless young people in Huntington Beach.

Helen Quintanilla

Director

Helen is a corporate accountant for a restaurant company in San Diego. She is a past president of the San Diego Executive Lions Club and is active with community organizations including the San Diego Lions Scholarship Foundation, Neighborhoods First Coalition and the Alliance for Quality Education.

SuAnne White

Miguel Cantos

Director

Miguel Cantos joined the LA Latin American Lions Club in 1993, and has served three terms as president of the club. He was the Metro Zone B Chairman in 2005 and holds the President Ashok Mehta and Al Ohrmund Awards. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow. He retired in 2018 after 24 years as Logistics Manager at TST Inc.

Kirk Davis

Director

Kirk’s family was a grateful recipient of LSH’s predecessor foundation, SCLEI, when his children  were young.  He continues to be active in Lions and is currently on the LSH Board of Directors.

Randy McMillan

Director

Randy is a retired senior sales officer for a national fencing manufacturer. His community activities include serving as President of La Habra Host Lions Club and District Governor of Lions District 4-L4. In 2013 he received the honor of Citizen of the Year and Volunteer of the Year from the City of La Habra.

John Nelson

Director

John was raised in Long Beach and is the founder/owner of Nelson Electric. He is First Vice District Governor for Lions District 4-L2 and a Charter Representative for Boy Scouts of America.
